Pola Tep

Welcome to Hanazono High School (HHS)! I am looking forward to getting to know all of you. First, let me briefly introduce myself. My name is Pola, and am from the United States. I have been living and teaching in Japan for eight years. Over the years, I have learned many things about Japan and its people. For example, festivals, food, education system, New Year traditions, mannerism and many more. From these experiences, I have come to enjoy my life better in Japan. As for language learning, HHS offers three other foreign languages. To learn a foreign language, my opinion is "Learning a language is like learning how to walk; we stumble and fall along the way. However, with continuous effort and practice we will be able to master it." Therefore, my advice to all of you is "Not to give up or to quit when you encounter the stumbles and the falls in language learning."

Lester

Lester Magno

Hello everyone!

My name is Lester Magno. Please call me "Lester". I'm from the Philippines. I came to Japan in 2017 and started teaching English in public schools in the same year. I'm a big fan of anime, manga and Japanese culture. In my free time, I like playing basketball with my friends. I also like traveling to different places and meeting different people.

I think the best way to learn English is to enjoy using it. It's an effective tool in creating bonds with foreign people and understanding their culture. Let's have fun learning English! I am looking forward to meeting you.
