9月19日と23日に、本校剣道部に海外から武者修行に来られた剣士の方が、部活動に参加されました。稽古だけでなく、1年生の剣道部員がインタビューを行い、剣道を通した国際交流を楽しみました。

Where I am from in Galicia we have Celtic heritage.

Gyudon and Japanese curry.

I like PULPO ( octopus ).
What Spanish food do you recommend to us?
Of course PULPO, but also Spanish tortilla. It is made from PATATA, CEBOLLA, and HUEVOS (potatos, onions, and eggs).
What Japanese phrase do you like the best?
弱肉強食！！！！！ ("The strong eat the weak")
Why did you start kendo?
There was a club in front of my house so I tried it and enjoyed it.

This is a tattoo inspired by my favourite band, Tool.

Where are you from / where do you live?
I am from Oklahoma in America, but I live in Kyoto now.
What's your job?
I work for a kendo equipment company. I sell kendo stuff to people all over the world.
What Japanese food do you like?
Sushi, especially sea-urchin and salmon roe.
Why did you start kendo?
I read the manga VAGABOND and loved it.
What is your favourite kendo technique?
面抜き胴
What Japanese phrase do you like?
切磋琢磨 ("cultivate one's character by hard work")
I hear you have two sons. How old are they and what clubs did they do in high school?
My 18 year old son is still in high school and he plays football.
My 21 year old son is a university student and he used to practice sports-chanbara when he was in high school.
